The Master’s Bouquet and More! is a collection of spiritual and inspirational poems based around the Christian faith, penned and arranged by author Lorna Sparks Gutierrez. The general themes consider the human experience and the common emotions which we all face, from sadness to laughter, darkness to light, but all with the overall message of overcoming, inspiration and hope. The author professes the love which God has for all his people and the idea that our commonality as humans comes from the fact that we are all beloved creations of God, though we are different in some ways. What results is a collection split into six categories with poems accompanied by scripture segments and sometimes additional artwork.
Author Lorna Sparks Gutierrez writes with clarity, peace, and inspiration across many topics in her attempt to give comfort and spread the word of God through poetry. Readers who live, or wish to begin living, a Christian life will find the scripture segments included very helpful in understanding the author’s different interpretations and personal musings with the individual poems. I personally found the category system very helpful in order to find the mood and type of poems that you might be ‘in the mood for’ on a particular day. ‘Poetry to Encourage’ was a great section especially, with universal messages about self-worth, love, and positivity. Overall, The Master’s Bouquet and More! provides a full gamut of emotional and religiously inspired writings to uplift Christian readers and provide plenty of relaxing musings after the reading experience.
