Author Mark Watson has written a silly, rhyming story of a hairy fairy that’s been cursed and must sit on the head of a boy for the day. Children who love the Black Lagoon Adventures books will enjoy reading the antics and mistakes made by the Hairy Fairy. He tries to help the young Boy Scouts for their jamboree by casting a spell, but it doesn’t work, and he ends up making things worse. Huge vegetables that attack shoppers turn a simple shopping trip into a scary thriller. Illustrator Doriano Strolago has created beautiful watercolor paintings outlined in thick and thin black strokes for The Hairy Fairy. His artwork cleverly portrays the zany and scary mishaps of the Hairy Fairy.
