The crowd enjoys this adventurous clown/giraffe and finds him to be the life of the show; it’s as though you want to purchase tickets yourself and attend the show.

Illustrator Emma Matinca does a wonderful job of illustrating this story with pictures that look as if they are drawn with crayons. She uses great colors and vivid details to engage the reader in the story line. Between author Macs and illustrator Matinca, this is a wonderfully written and illustrated book which should be in every school library and would be a great read for parents and children. This is certainly a book that will make children laugh and point to this silly clown/giraffe named Cuthbert. Located at the end of the book are rhyming words that are used throughout the book, so parents/teachers could use this as learning tool to develop the reader.

All of these crazy things to give people the time he believes that they deserve. Doing such things is his reason for being in the circus. Following the giraffe along while he is in the circus is a fun journey for young readers. While they are reading they will hear the delightful story and also learn different words that rhyme.
