The Galactivity Book by authors and illustrators Maria Bardyukova and Quiet Riley Jr. is a fun filled activity book. It is a galactic take on some childhood and adult favorite activities such as crossword puzzles, word finders, and lots of other games. The book is very interactive, and there are particular games where you cut out pieces in order to play the adventure within. It is filled with illustrations that are very smart and original, with language and fonts that put you into the mindset of a child.
Quiet Riley Jr. and Maria Bardyukova’s The Galactivity Book is an exceptional piece of artwork. It was like a breath of fresh air to see that there are still activity books that want you to “get your hands dirty” and are not on a small screen. The book expects you to put things together with your own hands, using other components such as paper clips etc, which I feel is so important for children today that have been born into a world of screens. It is an engaging book that took me back to my own childhood, especially when I went on road trips. My parents would always surprise me with small games and activities to busy myself with during the long hours of the trip. This would be a great gift to give someone on their birthday or any holiday, perhaps even an Unbirthday. You are going to want to use this any time of the day and in any place. It will be fun for the entire family.
