Evocative and exciting, The Enigma Threat by Charles V. Breakfield and Rox Burkey is a sensational audiobook. Filled with action and adrenaline-fueled scenes, the plot quickly moves between plot points, keeping the suspense alive from the beginning until the end. The characters are engaging, and their romantic relationships give the storyline contrast. Although this is the twelfth book in the series, it is easy to keep up with the plot. With intense twists and turns, it is a captivating novel that promises to thrill and entertain everyone who loves suspenseful dystopian novels that delve into a technologically advanced society. Due to some of the intimate content, the book is more suitable for a mature audience.
The audiobook is very competently narrated by Derek Shoales, who has voiced nonfiction and fiction audiobooks, corporate narration, eLearning, commercials, promos, and a video game. Capable of enacting multiple accents/dialects including, Chinese, British, German, Indian, Irish, Japanese, Mexican, Scottish, Southern Georgian, Texan, Mr. Shoales effectively matched each character's voice with their personality.
