The Beijing Memorandum: America's Worst Nightmare by JB Morris is a military thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat and begging for more. Moses Remington used to be a Marine Gunnery Sergeant and he was good at his job. He was visiting Mexico on a consultancy project when he caught wind of something that made him look closer. Something strange yet very concerning is happening in Mexico and he has reason to believe that the Chinese are behind it. He doesn’t have any proof, but he is sure that he could get some. Before he knows it, he is neck-deep in the mystery and he cannot back out now. But Moses has never given up, so he will do what he is best at and try to save as many lives as he can ... even it means he has to lose his own life.
Fast-paced, dynamic and action-packed, The Beijing Memorandum: America's Worst Nightmare by JB Morris will take you on a journey with an adrenaline rush on every page. From the opening scene to the last one, the author had me hooked and literally salivating for more. I enjoyed how Moses was driven to do what he does best; incorporate his years of service in his current mission and make the most of his knowledge. I enjoyed how he wasn’t a quitter; he never faltered or tried to step back even once. He is a hero through and through, yet he is so humble at the same time. He has nothing to lose so he gives the situation his everything and goes all in from the moment he gets the slightest inkling that something is wrong. He is a well-rounded character, he is real and he is believable. He is a sane man who is not afraid to take any chances, which makes him the perfect protagonist for the book. This is a nail-biting thriller that I absolutely loved! It is pretty darn awesome!
