Terramara: Mara’s Transformation is a young adult fantasy by Kris Fuller. The kingdom of Terramara, once known as Elementia, was ruled by three marhilia sisters who possessed element powers that made the kingdom prosper. A human king’s selfishness led to Elementia’s downfall. Marcouera, who ruled water, was the only sister left to protect Terramara. She and her water nymphs provided humans with food and other necessities to survive. While diving with his friends, Prince Cyrus saw Mara, a water nymph, and the two formed an odd connection. They weren’t aware of the ancient legacy that bonded them but knew something unique was happening. Marcouera was too weak to sustain the land, so she guided Mara and the prince to complete the cycle of events that were important to the survival of humans in Terramara. But it’s not as easy as it seems because Mara has to make changes she’s unaccustomed to, and her life will change forever.
Welcome to the land of Terramara where lively little water nymphs will enchant you with their antics. You’ll wish you were at the beach or river frolicking in the cool water with marhilias (nymphs), or playing games with Prince Cyrus and his friends. Terramara: Mara’s Transformation is a delightful, moderately paced story written by Kris Fuller. She tells it so passionately from the heart with strong writing and development of the characters. She cleverly tells how important nature is to humans while taking readers on an exciting adventure filled with magic, love, and friendships. Young adults will find this novella an interesting read.
