In Jewels of the Quill’s newest Treasure Trove anthology, readers, once again, will be rewarded with four short novels to peak their interests.
The first,"Topaz and the Lucky Seven" is a fantasy romance. Alma is at the age to be betrothed and will one day be the queen of the kingdom. Who will she choose out of all her suitors? Zaida, the seventh sister, is there to protect Alma and with the help of a stray kitten and a tone deaf bard she does just that. With some one placing a spell in the kingdom can they discover who it is before its to late.
In "The Turquoise Gown", a paranormal historical romance, Theodora is over-weight with a poor complexion. Her stepmother, who insists that a blue gown worn to a ball, will find her the love of her life. With a trip to her great aunt`s house, things change for Theo. Is their truth in the magic of the gown.
In "The Amber Tower", a fantasy romance, it`s been 100 years since the Witch of the Woods had first taken the crown prince and put a curse on the kingdom of Rivand. Prince Rafel has no plans to marry, even though his mother says its time to choose his bride. Believing that witches only appear in childrens` fairy tales, until he meets the Witch of the Woods, will he fall in love. He has two women to choose from, one is a princess, and the other one is a witch. Will he choose the right one and learn to love.
"Moonlight Becomes you", the last tale in the book, is the first in the Woodcutters Grim Series. This romantic paranormal takes the reader through the curse that was placed on the Shaussegeny family. When Heather Rowe falls for Lance, little did she know that she would soon belong to him, more than she thought. When her baby becomes ill, there was only one thing to do. Finding no cure for her baby at home, she heads for Woodcutters Grim, hoping that Lance could help. Then she finds out about the curse. Will her life ever be the same and what will happen to her child?
I always enjoy the Treasure Trove anthologies. The authors have such vivid imaginations. Their characters are easy to connect with and they invoke imagination. It’s always hard to pick out a favorite story as they all have a terrific plot to them.
