Super Faith by Myana Chartese is a Christian children’s story. Kingdom Land was once heaven on earth. A colorful land, filled with sweets and gems, a place where everyone was happy. Until Captain Evil came along. A man filled with darkness, evil and disobedience, Captain Evil decides to destroy Kingdom Land, stealing the faith from every person’s heart. When they awoke, they no longer had faith in God, the children were disobedient, and wildness took over the kingdom. Until Israel came to town. Disappointed by what he found, he prayed to God and God made him Super Faith. He had the strength of God to restore faith and banish evil, defeating Captain Evil and returning Kingdom Land to the place of beauty and faith it once was.
Super Faith by Myana Chartese is a wonderful story, written to look like a comic book – highly appealing to children. It has some fabulous drawings in it, full of color and hope, that lend reality to the story. It’s an easy story to follow and is very descriptive, drawing you into a land of Jell-O, lollipops on trees, chocolate waterfalls – who could ask for more? The story itself was well-paced and there were no dead spots. While a fun story to read, it also carries a message of hope that God will always be there for you; you just have to have faith in him. A wonderful book, perfectly aimed at its target audience and a combination of fun with a serious undertone. And if you aren’t a believer, you will be by the end of this book.
