There are different animals in the forest, but some are more different than others; this summarizes Stinky’s situation in Stinky Super Skunk by Serena Lane Ferrari. Stinky was a young skunk who had not learned to control his spraying, so he sprayed smelly poofs whenever and wherever. He did stinky poofs when he walked, ate, or tried to play with the squirrels. He even did a stinky poof in the stream! One day, the other animals decided that they had had enough, and all the animals agreed to send Stinky away from the forest; he was too different for them to handle. Poor Stinky was sad, but he never went far from the forest. Not long after his exile, Stinky hears screams from the forest. The other animals are in trouble. Will he return to help them?

This book is remarkable because of the messages it portrays, which are the beauty in individual differences and the need for self-control. I like that the main character in this narrative is a rare and unique animal, a skunk. I also love the colorful drawings that illustrated the story and the coloring pages at the end of the book, which I think young readers will find engaging. Another plus to this book is that I found zero errors while reading. Stinky Super Skunk by Serena Lane Ferrari is a simple read that would be better suited for younger children, although they may need clarification with certain words. This is a perfect book in all respects.

Stinky Super Skunk by Serena Lane Ferrari is a funny and sweet story about a young skunk, Stinky, who loves to be around his other animal friends, having tea, playing, bathing, and helping with the little ones. Despite Stinky’s good nature, his stinky spray drives away his friends, and they run for their lives. After a community meeting run by Mr. Owl, the community decided to banish Stinky to a separate area in the prairie where he would live alone. Stinky missed all his friends and felt disappointed about his banishment. He did not understand why they banished him for being who he is naturally, a skunk. His friends did not accept him even though he loved them dearly. One day, Stinky’s old home, the forest, was under attack by hunters, and the same friends who banished him were now in trouble, and the only one that could help them was Stinky with his stinky spray. The question was whether he would after the way they treated him.

Stinky Super Skunk by Serena Lane Ferrari is an amusing, colorful, delightful, and meaningful children’s book. Children are sure to be sympathetic to Stinky, who wants to connect with his friends, but he is unfortunately not accepted in his animal community. Stinky is a highly relatable character for children who will be able to understand his situation of not fitting in. The story teaches children a vital lesson about forgiveness and being there for your friends when they need you, even when they’ve hurt you. Stinky is an exemplary character for young children. I enjoyed reading this book, and I am sure children will love reading this bright, beautiful storybook.

Stinky Super Skunk is a children's picture book by Serena Lane Ferrari. Complemented by some eye-catching illustrations by Camilla Frescura, the book follows Stinky, an energetic young skunk who loves to play but is still learning to control his special stinky skills. Quite often, he lets out a stinky poof at the most unfortunate of moments, like in the middle of playing acorn-ball with the squirrels or during a visit to Mr. and Mrs. Mouse for a cup of tea or else while helping Mrs. Rabbit take her twelve little bunnies to school. After a meeting conducted by Mr. Owl, the forest animals take Stinky to an isolated place and ask him to live there alone. Feeling sad and lonely, Stinky finally gets his opportunity to make use of his unique ability and prove his worth when some unexpected visitors threaten the animals.

All of us are different. But these distinct traits and abilities are what make us stand out and provide us with tools to help make this world a better place to live. This is the primary message of Stinky Super Skunk. Author Serena Lane Ferrari tells a fun and engaging tale layered with underlying themes of empathy, acceptance, uniqueness, and kindness that are bound to tug at your heartstrings. The vibrant illustrations by Camilla Frescura add color to the characters, making them come alive on the pages. Stinky is an adorable skunk who kids will find easy to relate to. All in all, a wonderfully wholesome picture book for parents to read to their children.
