Lives change for the better when two movie star Labradoodles are dognapped in the fun novel, Somebody's Doodle by Nikki and Richard Attree. When Jack starts a partnership with less-than-trustworthy Harry, nabbing wealthy people's dogs for the large rewards, he thinks he's landed the best get-rich-quick scheme. Only, once Jack gains possession of the dogs, he falls in love with them and begins to question his career. Their most lucrative job will be soon-to-be stars, Doodle and Gizmo. But then Jack meets Annie, who is an animal lover and advocate. She inspires him to stop nabbing dogs, and look into a legitimate canine-based business. Unfortunately, Annie is one dognapping too late. Caught in a web of subterfuge, Jack must make a choice. Can he get out of crime before it is too late? Or will he finally get caught?
A dog is for life is the succinct and enlightening theme in the fabulous canine-centered novel, Somebody's Doodle by Nikki and Richard Attree. It is a delightfully entertaining story with engaging human characters, charming canines, and a captivating plot. The dialogue shifts between the human characters' and the dogs' points of view, eloquently combining humor and facetiousness, creating amusing and illuminating interchanges. I was pleased with the many epiphanies that the characters experienced, indicating personal growth. This moving story sends an important message to dog and animal lovers; animals have needs and feelings just like a human, and to withhold attention from them is negligent. Everyone who loves a feel-good story involving animals that actually comes to a happy ending will love this book!
