A vengeful spirit torments her husband, preventing him from beginning a new life with the woman he loves in the paranormal romance Shooting Star: A Moment in Time, Novel Four by G.P. Gadbois. Before Julie can tell her boyfriend, Jack, that she is pregnant with his child, Jack dumps her. When Julie's son Samuel is almost two years old, she lets Jack know he is a father. Thrilled, Jack immediately starts playing a significant role in Samuel's life. However, he refuses to let either Julie or Samuel visit his home, office, or town and tries to keep Julie at arm's length. Because Jack stirs deep feelings within her, Julie isn't sure how long she can maintain a platonic friendship without falling apart. Jack explains that although he cares for Julie, he can't forge a lasting relationship with her. Jack's late wife, Carla, haunts his home, and her ghost is violent and dangerous. Can Jack find a way to rid his home of Carla's evil presence? Or will Jack and Julie have to lead separate lives forever?
The spine-tingling story, Shooting Star: A Moment in Time, Novel Four by G.P. Gadbois, is a fascinating romance with a paranormal flavor. The ghostly accounts are chilling and nightmare-inducing. The tale not only covers Jack and Julie's spiritually thwarted love story but also includes their relationships with friends and family that developed in previous books. Even though it is the fourth book in the series, it does very well as a standalone. The characters reprise their roles, and their histories smoothly ease into the storyline without leaving the reader confused or lost. Dramatic and intense, it is a riveting story that will entrance everyone who loves romance stories with a supernatural element. Due to sexually intimate scenes, the book is more suitable for mature readers.
