Author Biography

Joshua David is a retired law enforcement officer with an undergrad in economics and graduate work in American colonial religion. When he should have been working toward academic publishing and serious professorships, he was instead tinkering with apologetics, working to combine classical idealism with Christian theology.

Seed was born of these efforts, a release valve for the monotony of composing a proper philosophical treatise. Why spend all productive time on what is essentially a 300-page algebra equation when a character like Jess is already out in the wastes working miracles and could more easily espouse a truth many accept but few can reconcile?

Joshua David lives in Prescott, Arizona with his wife and two young sons. If there is a sliver of time not occupied by family, friends, and fictional characters, he can be found on a gun range, a jiu-jitsu mat, or under a bench press loaded with slightly more weight than his elbows appreciate.

In Joshua David's Seed: Charged, survivors take up the task of spreading the good news of Jess’s message to those remaining in the world. Sal, a soldier from the Nellis Air Force Base, who serves as their community guardian, travels the wastes to protect pioneers and proclaim his good news. During his travels, he meets Eve and falls for her psychotic actions and crazy endeavors, but he also finds a new evil rising in Seed’s stead. Blinded by his lust and fatal attraction, can he make the right decisions? In his attempt to defend his home and the lives that depend on his survival, Sal must confront an advanced enemy bent on enslaving what’s left of humanity. Sal has to choose between two opposites: forgiveness and vengeance, Jess and Eve. Can he see through his attraction to make the right choice?

Joshua David's Seed: Charged is a post-apocalyptic thriller filled with twists, thought-provoking words, in-depth characters, passion, and action. David's action-packed writing will surely knock your socks off and keep your attention until the very end! The writing is very vivid and raw, but you find that the gospel message is embedded deeply in the story as well. The characters were expertly written, believable, and relatable. David did a great job of being very descriptive so that I felt I was immersed in the story and fighting to survive myself! Joshua David's Seed: Charged is a great story that I believe everyone, even if they don't usually read this genre, could find something they would enjoy. I look forward to reading more of this phenomenal writer's work.
