Santa Borrows a Helicopter is a joyful and entertaining children’s book by Regina Puckett. It is Christmas Eve and just as Santa is getting ready to deliver the presents, he discovers that the reindeer are not feeling well and will not be able to fly the sleigh. Mrs. Claus and many helpful animals, from mice and penguins to geese and a moose, try to help but Santa’s enormous bag full of gifts is too heavy for anyone to lift. All the animals' efforts are endearing and amusing. Just when it seems that the sleigh might never make it off the ground, Santa has an idea that might save the day. Cheerful illustrations as well as the spirit of goodwill and merriment present among the characters create a festive story.
Young readers will be delighted by Regina Puckett’s Santa Borrows a Helicopter. This engaging story is filled with good cheer and holiday fun. Children will be captivated as Santa and his friends at the North Pole try to devise a plan to help Santa deliver gifts on this special night.
