Rise of the Oathbreakers by David (D.B.) McCrea is a true crime story detailing just how bad policing can be in the USA. We’re all aware of some of the recent stories about law enforcement, but this book will open your eyes even further. This is a series of true-life stories, interactions between police officers and the people on the streets. Learn what a police officer is, what they should be, and what they shouldn’t be. Learn the difference between a good and effective police officer and a dictatorial, oppressive officer. Retired game warden David McCrea shares these stories in a bid to help us see that not all law enforcement is there for the greater good, that some of them are happy to break their oath and police as they see fit, not as they are meant to.
Rise of the Oathbreakers by David (D.B.) McCrea is honest: a no-holds-barred account of how some police officers treat the public. It is a real eye-opener and shows that, more and more, police officers appear to be going rogue and are not being held accountable for their actions. It shows us that bad cops are nobody’s friend and bring all police officers’ reputations into disrepute, even the good ones. The book provides details of the relevant amendments and several impairments and tests relative to the stories in the book. There are also related videos on YouTube, which the author attributes as helping him to write the book. Scattered throughout the book are anecdotes from the author’s own personal stories. He is highly critical of law enforcement and the way some of them behave, especially those who don’t know how to de-escalate situations – basic police training, surely? – making things much worse instead. This book tells you what your rights are and what you should and shouldn’t do when faced with a police officer: a must-read for anyone.
