"Rebecca and the Hobgoblin Invasion: The Wingless Fairy: Book 2" by Margaret Pearce Rebecca is an interesting book. Rebecca's house goblin Golly is missing. If that isn't bad enough, she discovers that it is not just her house goblin that is missing ... all of them are. With the help of her owl guard Lord Be Thankful she quickly discovers that they have all been captured by hobgoblins. It also seems that the Fairy Queen might be behind the disappearances. As hobgoblins terrorize the countryside and the unsuspecting humans, Rebecca must find a way to save the house goblins and prove to the fairies that their Queen is to blame. Luckily fairy princess Dewdrop is willing to help Rebecca. Her plan takes Rebecca and Lord Be Thankful right into Hobgoblin in-between land. Just as the hobgoblins themselves, their land is dark and dreadful; no place for an ex-fairy to be. There, they find another creature that needs rescuing. This magical creature just might be what Rebecca needs to save the day. With the help of a little magic and a lot of daring Rebecca must stop the Hobgoblin invasion.
"Rebecca and the Hobgoblin Invasion" is a charming book sure to captivate the imagination of little girls. Margaret Pearce spins a story full of magic, daring and adventure. The main character Rebecca is smart, brave and loyal. This is the kind of book I love for my daughter to read. "Hobgoblin Invasion" was fun and easy to understand. I will be keeping an eye out for more books from 'The Wingless Fairy Series'.
