Pursued by Ian A. Stuart is an intriguing adventure story. Andrea McCauley receives a phone call from the prison where her brother is serving time. The call is to tell her that he has died of cancer, a cancer she didn't even know he had. When she picks up his personal belongings, there is a letter addressed to her. On first reading it seems a little odd until she realises it is a set of clues to find money that went missing from the Russians. Andrea's brother Brian was a part of the reason it went missing and now it looks like she has a chance to find it. Unable to go it alone, though, she enlists the help of her neighbour, a female body builder, her brother's ex-wife Brandi, and her friend Katya. Cheryl, the neighbour, starts to train the girls in the art of survival before they head into the National Park to search for the money. The trouble is, the Russians want their money back and they will stop at nothing to make sure they get it. After all, it's a cool $2 million!
Pursued by Ian A. Stuart was quite enjoyable. It had a good storyline and the plot was obviously well thought out. The odd mix of characters worked well together as well. I did find it a little jumpy - one scene didn't seem to finish properly before another started - but, overall, I enjoyed the read and didn't have any trouble following the plot. It just needs a little tidying up to make it into a more readable novel.
