Venezuela-born Giancarlo Roversi isn’t only a writer. He’s also a computer engineer and a musician who shared stages with artists such as REM, Oasis, Travis, Duran Duran, and Maroon Five.
When his band Fractaler broke up in 2011, he devoted the next ten years to cue the Pulstar Trilogy and three prequels in that universe.
He surrendered his personal life and wrote these manuscripts in his native language, Spanish, and then he translated them into English. He also composed a soundtrack for each book; they’re currently in production.
When he’s not living and breathing in his Pulstarverse, he loves family time, cooking, astronomy, animals, and having philosophical discussions—especially about the meaning of life—with anyone who cares to join him.

Pulstar I: The Swan Barely Remembers is a work in the science fiction, mystery, and suspense subgenres. It is suitable for mature young adult readers and the adult reading audience and is penned by Giancarlo Roversi. In this exciting and original science fiction work, we discover that we are following events set in motion by our protagonist, Jeral Murh, before she fully enters humanity. In the turbulent nation of Astralvia, Jeral must find the other two people who set potentially devastating events in motion with her, all before the clock runs out, and remind them of what they once meant to her.
Giancarlo Roversi has crafted a pacy drama with tons of exciting race-against-time content, and it certainly keeps you on your toes as you dash from one scene to the next. I appreciated that there was still time for suspense, character development, and interaction as the novel continued. I quickly became invested in Jeral’s desire to recover her full memory and relocate her beloved Aris. The descriptive work and atmosphere were also a huge plus, setting every piece of exciting action against a backdrop of dark, gritty sci-fi vistas and a dangerous world where everything is already on the verge of falling apart. Overall, Pulstar Is a fantastic opening to what promises to be a stellar sci-fi trilogy. I cannot wait to enjoy more cinematic thriller delights from this talented author.
