Joyce Meyer is truly amazing. She's got this down to earth voice that makes you want to sit up and take note of what she's saying. She has a powerful message of strength and self-involvement and she knows what she is talking about. It was actually pretty enlightening and wonderful to get the chance to listen to her audio book, Power Thoughts Devotional: 365 Daily Inspirations for Winning the Battle of the Mind. In the pages (or audiotunes) of Joyce's book, you renounce the evils and trials of life, and look to the power of your own thoughts to not only find God in your life but to express love to your friends and family members more clearly.
I hesitate to call this book a prayer book. It's really more of a "thought book" as Joyce takes you through inspiring moments and ideas to capture your imagination and drive you to get through the rough patches in your life to learn how to really enjoy it. It offers opportunity to really get on God's level, and communicate with Him throughout your daily activities, and just think about Him more clearly. This is a book for a true believer, and one for someone who is truly searching for their journey with God. Joyce is just plain real and it was a pleasure to listen to it. This is supposed to be a "daily" devotional, though I crammed a lot of it into my recent car ride. The passages are relatively short and simple, and they are great to listen to when you are first getting up or on the commute into work in the morning.
