Phillip M. Feelgood opens the letter he received which is stamped 'URGENT' and postmarked 'HOLLYWOOD' and which is addressed to all his friends. The letter says that in Hollywood the stories have become stale and wants them to send good stories in time for their next release. They realize Hollywood's fate rests in their hands and they decided to help Hollywood out with their stories. Wild Turkey Bob tells an excellent story about a goose, Alexander, in which readers will be encouraged to explore new and important societal trends. Isabelle Lama has a story that is based on a character, Megan, who is awfully short compared to the rest of them and how she is ostracized by the other Lamas around her. Orangutan Moe's story will inspire readers to pursue their dreams and Sharmain, the Old Lioness, has a story about extending help even to a stranger. Hollywood will have some good stories now.
Phillip M. Feelgood and Friends Save Hollywood (Volume 2) by Marina M. Stephens is a well-crafted story with a lot of good messages which speak of the challenges faced in daily lives. Spoken from the viewpoint of different animals, the stories in the book impart valuable wisdom to young readers in an entertaining and engaging way. The illustrations are bright and colorful, and they not only make the story appealing but also make the characters and concepts tangible to readers. I like the manner in which the author tackles the concepts - it is fun, interactive, and interesting. The discussion questions at the end of the book are good for readers to reflect on the stories and find solutions for the problems in a positive way.
