In the small town of Orney, the famous Ramesh Bhatt is directing a movie based on a novel by Charles Harrington. They were close friends when they worked together in Europe and Charles gave Ramesh his first job in movies. A cast member is found murdered in the Orney Country Club’s swimming pool and there is a lot of convincing evidence that Charles committed the murder. He is charged with the crime. Tony does not believe that his father would be so stupid as to leave evidence behind. He does everything he can to prove his father’s innocence and uncover secrets from years ago. The passionate relationship between him and Darcy, another cast member quickly develops into more in Performing Murder: A Tony Harrington Novel, Book 4 by Joseph LeValley.
The beginning of Performing Murder by Joseph LeValley was very shocking. The plot is complex and very exciting. Events from long ago are intertwined and form part of the present. The story is fast-paced and full of action. I was intrigued from the beginning and could not put it down. I just kept turning the pages to find out what was going to happen next. I wanted to know if Charles was guilty or if someone had framed him. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. There was never a dull moment and the chapters flowed into each other. The characters were brilliantly developed and I could see the difference between the Hollywood stars and the small-town community. This story was well written and exceeded my expectations.
