Orange Glory: The Zoomins Must Die is a work of fiction in the paranormal, suspense, and adventure subgenres. It is best suited to the general adult reading audience owing to its mature themes and situations. A suspenseful tale with an interesting premise penned by author John Klawitter, in it we discover that secret military experiments have left a number of people with superhuman abilities known to those who hold the secret as Zoomins. Our story follows one in particular, the seemingly ageless teen Kate Twillinger, who has no recollection of these experiments and finds herself fighting for survival and discovering her abilities on the fly when the military comes looking to destroy her.

Author John Klawitter always produces intriguing tales with great pacing and twists and turns to the plot, so it was a real adventure to dive into this new and exciting premise and discover everything I could about the top-secret Project Orange Glory and its extraordinary results. I loved the character development around Kate, who develops into a figure wise beyond her apparent years, and I loved seeing how the narrative allowed different layers of consciousness and realization to come through as both we and Kate learn more about her past. There’s also a real cinematic sense to the setting and action of the piece, one which is so well described that you can visualize the grim reality and determination in Kate’s eyes as though a film is playing in your mind. Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Orange Glory: The Zoomins Must Die as a fantastic paranormal thriller, not to be missed.
