In One World. One Company by Fredrik Haren, the reader gets a bird's eye view of international business and the political interests within such transactions. Sounds complicated doesn't it? Well, Haren does an excellent job getting to the heart of the matter and telling it in an easy to understand, and logical way.

The book reflects the pros of allowing your company to branch out into the global market, and the pitfalls that could happen to a company when they decide to neglect such a fruitful venture to remain a domestic brand. One World. One Company doesn't just detail why companies should be pursuing global operations, it also delves into just how to accomplish this. Though not extremely detailed, this commentary gives an overview, or a kind of "what to do next" for the business man or woman who is considering taking their company into the global market.

The text was very professional and well written, and though I felt that a lot of the material was more or less glossed over, you do get a pretty well rounded understanding of the global economy and how to view the world of business. It is very clear that Mr. Haren did his research on the subject and is pretty knowledgeable in this particular field. He has interviewed several successful and influential CEOs and individuals who really made some interesting and believable points. I found the book to be particularly helpful. I run a marketing and brand management company out of the New England area. One World. One Company made some good points that have me considering the possibility of my own company going global...so we will see!
