My Life On Tender by A.G. Billig is the story of Arina and Cal, whose dating lives were nothing short of a storm. Arina was a successful thirty-two-year-old publicist who had three years to find love, according to her fortuneteller, Tereza. One evening, she went on a dating site called Tender and mistakenly super-liked Cal, a man who would take her on the most challenging emotional journey yet. Cal was part of a trending music band. He was very handsome and knew the right words to say. Cal swept Arina off her feet, and she walked on sunshine until America happened. When Arina visited Cal in America, she realized he was not as wealthy. He also had a bad temper, a bias against women, and demons that plagued him. She must decide to either walk away or fight for Cal’s love.
Woah! My Life On Tender by A.G. Billig is a beautiful yet intense story. This novel sheds light on abandonment and daddy issues, narcissism, heartbreak, love, lust, and everything in between. Some people are so scared of being alone that they cling to anything for a sense of belonging but to the detriment of their well-being. Others get hurt by one person and tar everyone with the same brush while overlooking their shortcomings. My Life On Tender has depth, a unique storyline, and an authentic development that tugged at my emotions. There was also a lot of suspense, and I wanted to know what happened next. And regardless of how I viewed their tumultuous love life, I understood because they were flawed people. Many people have also been at such low points in their lives. Gina was my favorite character and the friend everyone needed. However, Cora was a nightmare. A.G. Billig is an excellent writer, and I enjoyed this novel.
