Author Biography

Nancy Waring never gave much thought to aging—until she turned 53. A fitness-related injury forced her to question not only her own approach to health, but also how long-term lifestyle choices impact recovery and resilience. At the same time, her work as a speech-language pathologist raised deeper questions: Could many of the cognitive and communication challenges her clients faced have been prevented or reduced through healthier living?

These moments became a turning point.

In The Vibrant Sage, Nancy weaves her personal experience with professional insight to explore what it means to age vibrantly. More than a wellness guide, her book is a call to action: It’s never too late to optimize your health and happiness. The question is, where do you begin?

Nancy offers a compassionate, practical framework built around five pillars—breath, movement, nutrition, sleep, and purpose—that support vitality, energy, and joy in midlife and beyond. Using these pillars, she has created a coaching program, workshops, and wellness experiences designed to help others reconnect with their inner wisdom and live fully in the years ahead..
