Sarah and Colin give excellent gardening tips which include keeping track of the seeds you plant, fertilizer used when you harvest, how often you water, your compost process, what you use to get rid of bugs, the type of soil, planting according to your hardiness zone, spacing, and when your frost date falls. Each step of the process and your journaling journey is essential for a successful crop.
I enjoyed reading My Gardening Journal by Sarah and Colin Simon and this book is an excellent resource to begin or advance your gardening journey. Eventually, you will begin to develop your gardening process according to your surrounding ecosystem. I have been gardening for several years and it has been a beautiful, engaging, and eye-opening process. I am always learning something new. From this book, I’ve learned more tricks of the trade like planting by the moon, understanding more about pests that invade my garden, and how to prepare myself and the tools needed for the next season. Gardening is an excellent way to learn a lot about yourself through your connection with nature. Not only will you be able to provide yourself with a great source of food but this can be your time to relax, embrace, and reflect, which helps to create a health and wellness balance as well.
