Murmansk by J.T. Lewis is Book 5 in The Adventures of Gabriel Celtic book series, and is a read filled with intrigue, suspense, and action. Murmansk will appeal most to an audience made up of young adults and adults who enjoy fast paced, action filled fiction, as well as those who have enjoyed the previous books in The Adventures of Gabriel Celtic series. Murmansk follows Gabriel and his crew as they deal with their captivity and near death experience, all the while being thrown directly into having to come together to not only find, but also retrieve, their missing family member.
Murmansk by J.T. Lewis begins with the heart stopping realization that Abby (Gabriel’s daughter) is in the scope of a sniper rifle that at any moment can extinguish her life in a single heartbeat. With a beginning like that, Murmansk has a big vibe to live up to, yet live up to it the book did. Murmansk is filled with many heart stopping moments, suspense, action, and mystery that all come together perfectly to create a concise, well-constructed plot that just refused to let me lose interest. I really liked how Murmansk allowed me to get to know the characters as individuals before diving straight into the action. This enabled me to not feel like an outsider looking in, even though I had not read any of the previous books in the Gabriel Celtic series.
