Marketing Exec's Widow by Tina Gayle is the story of a widow who lost her husband in a tragic accident, but now she is ready to move on in her life. Jennifer Larson lost her husband in the tragic accident in which three other executives lost their lives. Together, the four widows formed the Executives Wives' Club to share their grief and the way they cope with their grief. However, none of them know the dynamics of Jennifer's relationship with her husband. They had both lived separate lives, and any real affection was long gone.
Now that she is finally free, she wants to concentrate on herself and find a new life and romance. She finally meets Hagan Chaney, a man who made her look forward to the future and feel wanted. But no one from Executives Wives' Club knows about her attempts to stop grieving. And she is not sure if Hagan is in the relationship for her or for her money. Can she take the leap of faith and move forward? Or can she accept that someone loves her unconditionally?
I have read My Best Friend's Ex by Tina Gayle and I really loved that. So you can understand why I had such big expectations for this novel. I was looking for the same spark in the heroine, the same determination and strength of character. I was really happy when I found all that and much more with Marketing Exec's Wife. Jennifer is a strong woman who kept her chin up and had the guts to move forward after a bad relationship. Hagan Chaney was swoonworthy. He was charming and classy and so very adoring. I liked Jennifer, but Hagan got all the brownie points from me. A great 5-star novel; I can't wait to read the other three novels in the series.
