Maybe Lauren was a bad person for wanting to skip the trip for her sister's wedding, but hearing that Jack Fletcher was going to be there really almost did it. Love on Deck: Arcadia Creek Book 1 by Kasey Stockton follows the complicated relationship between Lauren and Jack as they pretend to get along for the sake of the people they love. Will this act turn into something real? The two already started off on the wrong foot but can this trip change things or will life get in the way of what could have been a beautiful romance?
Love on Deck by Kasey Stockton was absolutely brilliant. I enjoyed every bit of this whirlwind enemies-to-lovers romance, and honestly, I am dying for more. Stockton did such a fantastic job with the build-up of this story, setting the reader up for an enticing and entertaining story. Lauren and Jack's antics throughout the book had me almost keeling over with laughter at times and others had me at my wit's end, hoping they would just get together. Another thing I enjoyed about this story was the realistic aspects of it. The way in which the character had to consider their lives outside of the trip and how it would affect them and their relationship gave the plot such an edge and allows you to really become immersed in the story. It was as if I was reading someone's account of what really happened to them instead of a fictional story. This book is genuinely so good and I hope more people give this a try.
