In Line of Defense, Odell Staggers has arranged his encouragement in a neat little package. Each day (word of encouragement) starts with a verse from the Scriptures. After this, Odell makes a short comment he calls “Application.” This is followed by a short “Daily Confession.” The last section of each day is called “Reflection of Gratitude.” Our encouragement during this extreme time of the rampant pandemic needs to come from the never-failing Word of God. These verses and Odell’s comments are designed to encourage us to look to our Father and depend on Him to carry us through every trouble and struggle. The “Daily Confession” section works as a daily affirmation of God’s help through trials. Reading this book daily will lift your spirit and give you a good dose of encouragement.
Amid the COVID-19 virus, society is full of fear and negativity. Odell Staggers steps up to the plate and presents Line of Defense. This book is designed to bring encouragement and comfort from the Word of God. Odell shares verses of positivity to all who are struggling with the fears and concerns connected with the virus (and who among us is exempt from these fears and concerns?). He writes an uplifting treatise for a time such as this. He has reached into the Scriptures and found words of comfort from the God of all comfort. He seeks to share the peace that comes from the God of peace. He uplifts with his writing. His writing is down-to-earth and a joy to read. If you need some encouragement, read this book.
