Sophie Scenic-Daniels was born in Mukwela, a small suburban town in Zambia. She has experienced deep personal losses throughout her life. Despite losing many family members, Sophie is still grateful to God. She firmly believes that God helped her in her journey of overcoming grief and adversity. In Life Without My Family: Lone Survivor of Eleven Children, Sophie tells of her personal encounter with adversity and the life lessons she learned through pain to encourage readers to trust in God no matter what life throws at them. She shares her healing journey from the trauma of losing her parents and nine siblings, some as toddlers and others as grown women, to show us how she developed the strength she needed not to let adversity or bereavement destroy her future or steal her joy.
Life Without My Family is a touching, harrowing, yet hopeful and inspiring account of grief, trauma, adversity, faith, strength, hope, and healing. Sophie Scenic-Daniels is living proof that adversity can be healed and transformed into strength. We should not let it dictate how we live our lives. Sophie's triumph over adversity and bereavement bolstered my faith in human endurance. Her story as a lone survivor shows us that we can heal even from the most traumatic experiences and find a purpose for living if we're patient enough and embrace any support. This book is dedicated to any Christian who has or may still experience grief and is looking for answers to the challenges of life. It inspires them to keep praying and have faith in God, not give up or allow grief, bitterness, or anger to rule their hearts.
