Let Love Rule is the third book in the Where You'll Land contemporary romance series by award-winning author Jacqueline Simon Gunn, a story that reads well as a standalone novel. The genuinely flawed characters instantly won my sympathy and I became interested in seeing what happens to them. Will Easton is instantly attracted to Rachel Dale the moment he meets her. And while he has trust issues, he still feels responsible for his girlfriend who has always been there for her. Rachel has been in a marriage with a cheating husband and she is ready to sever ties with him. It is a situation that can be described as complicated. Can these two characters untangle themselves from the complication and pursue what they feel for each other?
Jacqueline Simon Gunn pulled me in with her beautiful writing and meticulous attention to character development. The characters are flawed and human in every way possible. Will is someone who still suffers from hurts in his past and his current relationship is not ideal. Rachel has trust issues, thanks to a husband who has repeatedly cheated on her. When we encounter these characters, we want to see how they evolve when it comes to trusting others and their instincts and the author works well with the reader in this light, making their reading experience a suspenseful and enjoyable one. Let Love Rule is a perfect read for anyone looking for an emotive and engaging story. It is rich in plot elements, evocative in style, and utterly immersive. It swept me away.
