Laodicea: Why the World Is Not Yet Ready for the Second Coming by B. Lising is a thought-provoking and engaging book to help readers understand the Lord Jesus's one and only message before his Second Coming. The word Laodicea is coined from two Greek words, laos which means 'people', and dike which means 'principle or decision'. Reading this book gives a good understanding of events that took place before the beginning of time, the three major conflicts to do with the two covenants, and the seven major stages of the journey of Israel that have something to do with the journey of the Lord Jesus and the church. This book is also a good way to realize that the Second Coming is just part of a much bigger plan that was made by God before the beginning of time.
The tips and advice in Laodicea will change the way readers perceive the Second Coming and the fulfillment of prophecy. It is also a good tool to understand God, His perfection, His creations, and how God is love and light and binds everything together. The author's words are useful in preparing readers for the Second Coming, that great and most awaited event in these Last Days. This book will help readers understand the reason why Jesus Christ will come back for a church that is united and without any blemish. B. Lising's approach to the topic is extensive and detailed, giving readers good insights about unity, God's own image, the church, and how the Last Days will be. He also discusses information in the book of Revelation, which is the last book of the Bible, and points towards Babylon and the New Jerusalem. It is a good book that can be used in Bible classes to have discussions on Christ, the church, and the Second Coming.
