Laodicea: Why the World Is Not Yet Ready for the Second Coming by B. Lising is a thought-provoking and engaging book to help readers understand the Lord Jesus's one and only message before his Second Coming. The word Laodicea is coined from two Greek words, laos which means 'people', and dike which means 'principle or decision'. Reading this book gives a good understanding of events that took place before the beginning of time, the three major conflicts to do with the two covenants, and the seven major stages of the journey of Israel that have something to do with the journey of the Lord Jesus and the church. This book is also a good way to realize that the Second Coming is just part of a much bigger plan that was made by God before the beginning of time.

The tips and advice in Laodicea will change the way readers perceive the Second Coming and the fulfillment of prophecy. It is also a good tool to understand God, His perfection, His creations, and how God is love and light and binds everything together. The author's words are useful in preparing readers for the Second Coming, that great and most awaited event in these Last Days. This book will help readers understand the reason why Jesus Christ will come back for a church that is united and without any blemish. B. Lising's approach to the topic is extensive and detailed, giving readers good insights about unity, God's own image, the church, and how the Last Days will be. He also discusses information in the book of Revelation, which is the last book of the Bible, and points towards Babylon and the New Jerusalem. It is a good book that can be used in Bible classes to have discussions on Christ, the church, and the Second Coming.

B. Lising wrote Laodicea: Why the World Is Not Yet Ready for the Second Coming to warn God’s people to prepare for the second coming of the Lord. He wants to help people distinguish between the truth of God and the various traditions of man that have led to many religions and denominations. He sums history up in four major teachings and explains each one. He says God has used history to show people the way of escape from the entrapment of the devil. He talks about the conflict between good and evil and how most churches have allowed the Old Covenant to mingle with the New Covenant, causing a separation from God. Lising presents new material and uses the Scriptures to defend his position.

B. Lising believes that one reason Christ has not returned is that His bride is not ready. To be ready, we need to start living holy and godly lives. This will include the true members of the body of Christ learning to live in unity as one in the Father. How can we share with others that God is one if we as His children are many? We are to be one like He is one. Lising starts Laodicea: Why the World Is Not Yet Ready for the Second Coming by explaining the need for unity, the problem that causes us not to be united, and how God has made the way to escape legalism and become one with God. This book will cause you to reevaluate your current beliefs, your current standing in the kingdom of God, and if you need to change your lifestyle. It is truly a book that will challenge your thinking.

Laodicea: Why the World Is Not Yet Ready for the Second Coming by B. Lising is an intriguing deep-dive into the book of Revelation, the final book of the Bible, but zeroes in on Christ's message to the churches--specifically the church of Laodicea. According to this author, the messages given in the symbolism explain the fulfillment of end-time prophecies and the second return of Christ. Lising offers reasons for why the second coming hasn't happened yet, and it's because of the lukewarm condition of the last-days' church, something Christ describes in Revelation. The author explains in his reasoning that there is a hidden message that people need to understand, and he can interpret it. He explains the meaning of the early eternal church, three main conflicts that are related to the two covenants, and how the journey of Israel is broken down into seven phases that parallel Jesus' journey as it relates to the church.

Lising tries to prepare the reader for signs relating to the last days that have to do with the Second Coming of Christ. Although the material is somewhat complicated, the author explains his stance well enough to follow it. The author states clearly that his book isn't for all audiences, but for a certain group of people, which he calls God's chosen people, and goes on to say that their names are written in the Lamb's book of life. Though this book is a dire warning, it does have hope for the believer running through it. I like that Lising actually pulls quotes from the book of Revelation for the reader to refer to, and then gives his own interpretation. I respect that although the book of Revelation can be interpreted in various ways, the author took a leap in explaining his view on the church of Laodicea, and readers can make up their own minds about it. Laodicea: Why the World Is Not Yet Ready for the Second Coming by B. Lising is a studied explanation of Revelation that you can add to your Bible studies and consider in your walk of faith.
