Just a Little Unwell is a short story written by Iyana Jenna. Every sentence in this book is a clue and on every page something unfolds, so I don’t know how to create a summary without giving away spoilers. But here is a short summary. Patrick spends most of his time gardening and nobody comes to see the magnificent work he has done with his flowers. Until one day, when he has an unexpected visitor in the person of Damien Abner. They get to know each other, dance to the movie Cat Ballou, and sing songs with Patrick’s guitar. But everything is not as it seems. After a week of Damien visiting Patrick, he does not come back and that is when the secrets began to unravel.
I didn't know what to expect but I really liked this book. I hadn’t read the plot summary of Just a Little Unwell before I chose to read it but I am not disappointed. As I mentioned earlier, this book is full of surprises. I didn't see the twist coming. What happened to Patrick and his identity was a bombshell. As the story went on, it was not that much of a shocker what Damien’s job was, it just sort of clicked. I have no favorite parts in this book because I liked everything equally. Iyana Jenna wrote a book that makes me want to read more of her works. Although I am not much fan of this genre I will still consider reading her books in the future.
