Jessica Darling’s IT LIST 2: The (Totally Not) Guaranteed Guide to Friends, Foes & Faux Friends by Megan McCafferty is the perfect choice for middle-school girls as not only will they enjoy the book, but they will also be able to relate to the main character and learn valuable lessons. Growing up and leaving elementary school behind and entering Junior-High is a huge transition. Jessica is on this journey and is about to find out if friendships will last through this change. Jessica has found out (as we adults all know) that this is a time in a girl’s life that is filled with drama! Hosting an epic slumber party seems to be just the thing that Jessica needs to be popular, on the “It” list or whatever else is deemed to be “cool.”
Middle-school girls will love Megan McCafferty’s novel, Jessica Darling’s IT LIST 2: The (Totally Not) Guaranteed Guide to Friends, Foes & Faux Friends. This is fiction written just for them, and it could be any one of them or their friends telling this story or playing a major role in it. Middle-school or Junior-High is such a transition time in a girl’s life for so many reasons and this book will help girls realize they are not alone. Girls in general deal with the drama that takes place in this book and this story will give them an example of how one girl deals with it and will share some challenges and fun times.
