I believe the description of this book is what hooked me right away: have you ever wondered what makes some people more successful than others? It's an excellent question and, if we're honest, one that we all ask ourselves. How many times have you looked at people who have achieved what you still strive for and wonder what makes them different than you? How did they do it? Is there some "magic" that you're missing? Don J. Carey III dispels this mystery by uncovering crucial life principles he learned from hard experience, both in life and in football through the NFL. It's Not Because I'm Better Than You hits the nail on the head by clearly explaining why some people keep achieving dream after dream, while others spin their wheels. It gives readers secrets to fully harness their potential and develop their talent so any reader can rise above their limitations to become the best that they were created to be.
It's Not Because I'm Better Than You has inspired me to apply these principles to my own life. Don J. Carey III has a humble, down-to-earth style that clearly illustrates how these principles can be applied to real life if you're willing to do it. He shares personal experience and valuable lessons he learned from others to inspire readers to dig deeper, work harder, and to explore within to find the motivation to do what must be done to become successful. What's especially impressive is this isn't the typical "power of positive thinking" book. Carey gives real, practical advice that can be applied easily if the reader is willing to do the work. It's easy to understand and easy to apply if you're really dedicated to doing better and achieving your dreams. Yes, there are tough questions to answer and hard work to be done, but Cary's style motivates readers to dig in and do it. I highly recommend this book if you're tired of spinning your wheels in envy and are ready to be your best self and to achieve your dreams.
