Welcome to In The Magic Forest where you will meet Pic the Pixie, Rudolf the Giant, Eggbert the flying pig, Saltbeard and his pirate crew, or maybe Elvira, the tree elf as she strums her harp. Then we have the moss sprites, Homer and Gomer, and Strussel the Ghost, and others that visit this wonderful forest. In this short book, Greg McLeod has written ten different stories you will love about the Magic Forest and its members.
I had so much fun reading the ten stories from In the Magic Forest by Greg McLeod. Each story has an underlying message to help children feel helpful and wanted. From the giant egg and the rowboat that falls from the sky to the Ghost that is all alone, you will be reading these stories over and over to your child. What a fun book to have in a classroom to read to children, or a school and public library so older children can read this book for themselves. There is no way I can pick a favorite, but I did get a lot of laughs when Rudolf puts big beans in his ears to keep from hearing Eggbert the flying pig snoring so loud. And another is when two hunters venture into the magic forest to find a big buck, only to be spooked out of the forest never to return. And just who spooked them? That's for you to find out when you read In the Magic Forest by Greg McLeod. And I can't forget the oh so cute illustrations by Linus Scaringi. I loved each adorable picture as it tells the story in a different way. And for the author to have his grandson illustrate the book is so very special. I loved seeing this and hope to see more children illustrate books.
