In Shining Armor: Talitha Cumi by TC Leonard is a story about discovery and life. I found it a little jumpy to begin with, but it soon settled into a natural rhythm and started to flow very nicely. There are lots of different stories here all being tightly wound into one and I thought it was very well written. The characters were developed slowly, with more of their backgrounds and their stories coming out as the novel progressed, which does make for better reading as it throws in a few curve balls along the way. The writing itself is very descriptive, with a way of bringing scenes alive in the mind. Enjoyable story but, although I understand this to be the first book in a series, it ended very suddenly.
