I Love You More...To Suzanne, from Mark: A Couple Battling Cancer Confronts the Sordid Reality of U.S. Cancer Care is a true account in which Mark Mallardi reflects that his devotion to love and life started at a very early age. The impact of his mother’s depression during his childhood made him a strong, independent, and loyal son. As the years went by, his mother also became stronger and more independent. After two failed marriages, Mark met Suzanne. Her amazing love of life won his heart early on in their relationship. A diagnosis of prostate cancer and familiarity with the disease and its treatment led Mark and Suzanne to seek alternative solutions. Their situation became even more difficult when Suzanne was diagnosed with cancer that had already begun to spread. During his journey, Mark learned about treatments at the CHIPSA hospital, such as Immunotherapy, Therapeutic Movement Therapy, Insulin Potentiated Therapy, and several others. Some of the treatments are not approved for use in the US but do help patients recover functionality and enjoy a life that is longer and of better quality.
The author’s experiences with different types of cancer, the treatments available, and the suffering caused are nothing short of heartbreaking. This book is an eye-opening read that I believe would benefit anyone who suffers from cancer or knows someone who does. I recommend I Love You More...To Suzanne, from Mark to those that want to know more about cancer, the available treatments, the options, and how alternative therapy can help. The courage and bravery that it took for Mark Mallardi to share the loss, fear, and pain, as well as everything else he learned through his treatment process, is inspiring and will give hope to people who are affected by cancer.
