Hoggrills End by Felix Schrodinger is a collection of thought-provoking stories of one man’s life journey both in reality and through his extraordinary imagination. This unique biography covers a wide range of situations, historic events, and personal experiences. The collection includes tales from government protocol, corporate politics, and cultural differences to social, racial, and religious divides and life during WWII from both military and civilian perspectives. The best and worse of humanity is revealed and how attitudes have changed over time. Each story also encourages you to ponder how you would act in similar situations. For example, are you the type of character to act selflessly for the greater good of society, or would you put your own well-being first? Would your conscience allow you to profit from someone else's pain and misery or not? Are the actions of the military and government always ethical and honest? Uncover the negative and positive aspects of mankind and gain true insight into the morality of some individuals when greed, jealousy, and hatred become the main goal.
Hoggrills End by Felix Schrodinger is definitely a collection of stories that heightens the reader's imagination and thought processes. The style of language used throughout flows beautifully and the descriptive narrative was excellent. I loved how the stories left the reader to decide the outcome too. The subjects covered really highlighted the darkness of humanity and how actions and behavior can affect others. You are reminded that every course of action will come with its own set of circumstances. I enjoyed each story but I found the underlying messages in A Time And A Place, A Suitable Case For Treatment and Robbing Peter especially powerful. This is definitely a collection of stories that will evoke deep self-reflection and awareness of your own values and beliefs. A highly recommended read.
