Pat has always played it on the safe side until one night when a gorgeous man asks her to marry him. Little does she realize what she is saying ‘yes’ to! Graveyard Shifts: A Pat Wyatt Novel by Laura Del follows the adventure that Pat falls into when she becomes Mrs. Samuel Satané. Amazed by her new husband’s lifestyle, Pat doesn’t know what to think. She suddenly begins experiencing dreams that horrify her, leaving her exhausted and frightened. The biggest problem is how real they seem. Adding to her uncertainty about the exact nature of her relationship with her secretive husband, Mike Wolf, Samuel’s lawyer, seems to be more than what you see. A complex web of supernatural rules governing ‘acceptable’ behavior comes into question and Pat just isn’t sure who can be trusted. Maybe impetuously agreeing to marry someone she just met wasn’t such a good idea.
Laura Del has created a vivid supernatural relationship in Graveyard Shifts: A Pat Wyatt Novel. Action moves quickly and dialogue flows easily as the characters interact with plenty of emotion and intrigue. It is easy to identify with Pat – wanting more out of life but withdrawn in an attempt to shield her emotions from pain. Her best friend, Tina, is a major source of comfort, but Pat unexpectedly finds help from some strange sources as she tries to navigate her new status within a world she never could have imagined. Graveyard Shifts is an entertaining story that invites you to enter Pat’s world and experience the supernatural along with her.
