Grandma has pillows of all shapes, sizes, and colors. She collects them and has them all over her home, in bed, on the chair, and in every space where she sees an opportunity. She suddenly realizes that things are out of control. She has too many pillows, but she is still very fond of them. Can Grandma solve this problem? Mary Russo Ph.D. teaches children to place the correct value on their possessions. Grandma Loves Pillows is a book with a valuable lesson on the relationship between people and the articles to which they have become attached. With this story, readers will be motivated to evaluate when they should save their goods and when to share them.
Grandma Loves Pillows is very useful in providing sound advice. If children become overly attached to an object, they may even develop anxiety over losing it. That’s why kids can feel lonely or sad when adults want to clean up or dispose of items that are no longer needed, but this does not have to be so. Grandma Loves Pillows will teach little ones that it is good to have clear spaces to play in and that it is marvelous to share items that we no longer need because these can be useful to other people. Mary Russo Ph.D. creates the opportunity to talk about emotional attachment to an object and how to devise a solution. I liked this book as the content is enriching and beneficial.
