Get Rich or Get Out of My Way: The Savvy Investor's Guide to an Unstable Economy by Dan Nestlerode offers rich guidelines to help one understand how to be ‘a smart investor, not a pigeon.’ This book, rather than promising instant success in this field, shows one the necessary steps to reach a position of comfortable returns. The preparations mandated by the advice of this book is perhaps a necessity, if one is to pass the test of successfully managing one's money in the stock market and becoming a savvy investor. As the author reminds one at the end, “The only thing that matters at the end of the day is whether you have increased the value of your portfolio.” A good set of references for further reading and an index make this book a worthy one for guidance.
