Fun Lessons is a romantic comedy by Leanne Treese. Rebecca Chapman has always felt like an outsider in her family. Raised by two highly successful parents in a home with a couple of overachieving siblings, Rebecca often feels overlooked. As a gifted vocalist, Rebecca wants to prove herself at the highest level and compete in a reality show called Country Clash. But to do so, she must first learn to play an instrument within weeks. In comes Ian Ledger, a sensitivity trainer from Nebraska, who promises to help her out. Initially at odds with each other, Rebecca and Ian soon develop mutual feelings that neither can deny. However, when Ian's former girlfriend Audrey makes an appearance at his sister's wedding, things become complicated. Will Rebecca and Ian end up together?
Leanne Treese offers a delicious treat for romantic comedy lovers in Fun Lessons. With vibrant characters and an engaging plot, Treese takes readers on a ride with this thoroughly entertaining love story full of humor and heart. The plot is well-paced, with the narrative moving smoothly without a single hitch. Rebecca's and Ian's personalities complement each other in a way that feels organic and compelling. They have great chemistry and, combined with the witty dialogue and light-hearted banter, it makes for an absorbing read. Treese's characters pop off the pages with distinct quirks and qualities that make them memorable. I also enjoyed the secondary players like Aunt Kimmy. I had a wonderful time reading this novel and will gladly recommend it to romance lovers.
