Fantastical Cat Adventures: The Secret Life of Cats (Nina's Cat Tales) by Nina Neefe is a wonderful adventure of two cats, Simon and Mulan, that will take readers into the secret world of cats and their deep minds. All cats have amazing cat-tastical brains - they soar above in their own planes and have gone for a drive in their own cars if you cannot find them anywhere. The best field trip is a jungle safari, and they try to tack their sailboat to catch the next breeze if they are scratching away at some fleas. They run through the house with perfect ease and if you see them rolling about, it will be them swimming with sharks without making a noise. If they are slithering in and out of the drapes, they are really flying around in their super-hero capes. Let us read the book to learn more about these fantastical cat adventures.
Fantastical Cat Adventures is delightful and charming and is a good treat for all cat lovers to see how the minds of cats can work. The rhyming verses coupled with colorful digital illustrations from Tomas Hakl make the book entertaining for young readers and make the thoughts and dreams of Simon and Mulan palpable. It is a good book to use for storytelling and read-aloud sessions in classrooms and at home, and will be enjoyed more by children who have cats in their homes. The cat-tastical thinking will make them look at their cats in a different way after reading this book. I hope we get to read more cat tales from Nina Neefe.
