King Edmund accused his cousin, Lord Eadred, of having sexual relations with his Queen, Anais. Was there any truth to it? An attempt on Lord Eadred’s life at Arnil Wale left his friends dead. He turned his back on everything he knew, donned a disguise, and enlisted as a warden in Waytown. He stayed separated from the Queen, who had little to live for but Warren’s business, which sometimes let her explore. However, this adventurous secret life pulled Anais out of her cocoon and exposed her to the happenings in Sidem. For their safety, Anais and Eadred deliberately stayed apart, but fate would throw them together again. With danger lurking in the shadows and waiting to strike, does the duo stand a chance at happiness? Devotion by Nicole Warner has riveting details.
Devotion by Nicole Warner is the third installment in the Three Times Blessed series. It is a fantasy tale of love, magic, visions, sacrifice, manipulations, deceit, and survival. Having read the previous installments, I was impressed with this story. The continuing plot and storyline were brilliant, and the characters never failed to captivate me. Nicole has a honed and vivid imagination that is contagious. She brought me into an enchanting place where everything felt so real. The situation between Edmund, Anais, and Sara was relatable and quite painful. How could a person be in such an exalted position yet have no power? How could a supposedly mighty person be a prisoner without shackles? I loved Nicole’s fluid writing style and the engaging dialogue of the characters.
