Windhollows Trilogy, Book 2: Darkness Falls is a kids' action/adventure story written by Trayner Bane. Billy Molskin, a thirteen-year-old boy who has finally found true friends, is beginning to learn who his arch enemy is, and the reason for all of the mishaps that have befallen him and his village ever since his birth. With all this new information, will Billy succeed in stopping his nemesis, or will his adventures end with the deafening sound of failure? Why didn’t the people that he cared for most tell him why he is the way he is? Is it because they didn’t know who had done the damage, or is it because they were trying to protect him from himself?
Windhollows Trilogy Book 2: Darkness Falls is just as intriguing as the first book, and it has the same great writing technique that I enjoyed so much in the first book as well. The story was well developed. The characters readers met in the first book were well defined, and the climax of the story was just as heartfelt as the characters mature and each of their stories takes hold, making the reader want to keep reading on until the last paragraph. This book demonstrates that even in the darkest hour there is always a light to show the way. This book has some graphic violence, so I would suggest an audience of no less than thirteen years old.
