T. J. Hope's Dangerously In Love is about Bianca Parker, a young woman who struggles with low self-image, distrust in relationships, and mental illness. Bianca's mental illness is inherited from her mother, who left her in a dumpster when she was a week old, murdered her father, and committed suicide. Bianca is a beautiful woman on the exterior but struggles with feelings of neglect because her parents didn't want her. She was raised in group homes. Bianca does find a family with her Uncle Tap, her father's brother, and he looks out for her and gets her medicine when she runs out. When Bianca doesn't take her medicine, she has episodes of violence and essentially goes crazy. Her relationships end with her losing control and murdering the men in her life. Forced to leave her hometown of Miami, she flees to Chicago and takes on a new life, name, and a new man. He seems perfect, but is there such a thing? All Bianca wants is a man that will love her beyond her physical attractiveness and accept her flaws and all. Can Bianca find love and security with someone if she is consistently on the run and haunted by her past?
T. J. Hope's Dangerously In Love is a sensual, seductive, hard-core, and erotic story about a woman who battles with mental illness, fighting the demons in her mind to have successful relationships. T. J. Hope's words are flawless, captivating, and keep you tuned in until the very last line. Hope's depiction brilliantly gives you the many facets of Bianca: The hardcore bitch that knows she's bad, the girl that just wants to be loved, the brilliant poet, and the crazy woman that you don't want to mess with! Although Bianca is guilty of murder, Hope's depiction of her story nudged me to be empathetic to Bianca's situation, and more understanding of people who struggle with mental illness. Dangerously In Love is full of steamy scenes, great poetry, and unconditional love that kept me reading until the book was done. I look forward to reading more stories by this author.
