The father in Daddy May I Decide? wanted to know what his son would like to be when he grew up, whether he would want to be a football player like his daddy or not. The boy said he wanted to be something different. His father said he could coach his son's team if he decided to play football. The boy still did not want to be a football player though his brothers and cousins also played the game and so did all his friends. The boy was sure he wanted to do something different though he knew they were all having a blast. The boy wanted to become a teacher and teach his friends new things or a doctor so that he could make people feel better. He had other options too when it came to making career choices. Let's read this book to learn the various options the boy had.
Daddy May I Decide? by Dr. Tamecca Rogers and Keith Ross is a wonderful book that will educate children about the various career choices they can pursue. Horlat Pretty Awt's colorful illustrations help make the concept clear to readers. It is a bilingual story in English and Spanish and that will make it reach a wider section of the audience, those who speak English and Spanish. The story is also a good way of showing children they need not follow others' career choices and can make their own decisions, depending on what they would like to be. Daddy May I Decide? by Dr. Tamecca Rogers and Keith Ross can be used by both parents and tutors for read-aloud and storytelling sessions to discuss the different types of careers youngsters can choose from to have a bright future ahead.
