Deppy Thompson’s Career Guide: How To Find A Successful Career That Fits Your Personality Perfectly And Makes You Feel Happy, Self-Confident And Fulfilled is a short book on helping you decide what kind of profession you would be best suited for. The tone is straight-forward and logical, but in a way that doesn’t come off sounding preachy. Compiled inside are possible scenarios for why we are afraid of choosing a career that we are passionate about, a word bank exercise to assist us in deciding what core values we have, ones that can help us in better understanding ourselves and what position would be most fitting, and at the end of the book, Deppy offers a free link with a platform to be utilized in career matching someone.
Career Guide by Deppy Thompson caught my attention right away. As someone who is constantly open to the idea of new professional adventures, it was right up my alley. It is my thought that many people of all ages would benefit from this book and its information, whether they be starting out in their first job, currently in a position, or perhaps are still in early schooling years and trying to get an idea of what they could be successful at. In fact, I’m of the opinion that high schools, or even junior high schools, might find this a godsend if schools were open to receiving this book for all their students. I do highly suggest this book for anyone looking to switch careers, or feeling like they might be stuck, or perhaps even trapped in a job that is slowly stealing their soul's fire.
